Charlotta Brynger

Experience

Charlotta is a professor of humanities and leadership at Ashridge Executive Education and Hult International Business School, an intercultural consultant and facilitator, and a leading thinker in the field of intercultural leadership and change management at the Global Minds Network. She has served on the board of SIETAR Europe (The Society for Intercultural Education, Training, and Research) as a direct member representative.

Having lived in a multicultural environment for most of her life and spent 16 years in the United States, France, the Netherlands, Germany, and Italy, she is well acquainted with the challenges posed by cultural differences—but also, and perhaps most importantly, with how diversity can enrich our lives.

For more than ten years, she has worked with organizations—ranging from large multinational corporations to small and medium-sized enterprises, nongovernmental organizations, and the public sector—on all issues related to intercultural work, such as leadership across cultural boundaries, effective collaboration in multicultural teams, cross-cultural trade, bridging cultural gaps during mergers and acquisitions, cultural transformation, and diversity and inclusion. She helps individuals and organizations transform challenges into opportunities in a positive and constructive way.

She has a keen interest in neuroscience as a means of understanding human behavior and unlocking potential in intercultural interactions. Another passion of hers is art; as an artist, she enjoys applying creativity to problem-solving.

Background

Charlotta is a certified intercultural trainer in the Lewis Model and CultureActive, a tool for cultural profiling. She has also developed Culture Helix, a science-based tool for intercultural collaboration and cultural transformation. Since there is great potential in bringing together different perspectives, but it is often a challenge to leverage that added value in practice, she has developed two tools to bridge gaps and work more effectively across cultural boundaries, while promoting inclusion and innovation.

She holds a degree in social sciences and has also studied business administration at the European University in The Hague, the Netherlands, as well as French at the University of Lyon, France.

She works closely with the West Sweden Chamber of Commerce and is a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Gothenburg. Charlotta is also the founder of CueMe, a company specializing in cultural and intercultural education.
