Conflict Management

Where there are people, there are conflicts. It’s impossible to avoid them. But we can get better at identifying them early on, understanding what’s happening, and having the necessary conversations.

In our two-day training course, we take a hands-on approach to conflict management. You’ll gain knowledge and practical tools, as well as the opportunity to practice handling situations that may arise in your own workplace.

Conflict Management Training

Conflict management is part of leadership. It is part of every relationship. Researcher Thomas Jordan describes conflict as follows:

“A conflict arises when one or more parties have desires that they are unwilling to give up and feel that someone else is preventing them from fulfilling those desires.”

Why Learn Conflict Management?

Conflicts take time, energy, and money. When we talk about Profitable Leadership, the ability to identify conflicts early on is therefore a key component. The sooner we recognize what’s happening, the better our chances of doing something about it.

In this training program, we focus on preventive conflict management, how organizational structures can reduce the risk of unhealthy conflicts, and how workplace culture affects people, collaboration, and profitability.

What do you get as a course participant?

  • Understanding conflicts —what causes them and why they sometimes escalate.
  • Tools for taking early action —before the situation has a chance to escalate.
  • Training in difficult conversations —an opportunity to practice, reflect, and develop your own approach.
  • Better listening and communication —to understand different perspectives and move forward.
  • Understanding psychological safety —and how you can help create an environment where people feel comfortable bringing up issues that bother them.

A program tailored to your daily life

The training takes place over two days and is tailored to the organization’s needs and the situations participants encounter in their work. We draw on research and proven models, but place great emphasis on giving participants the opportunity to engage in hands-on activities and apply what they’ve learned in their own daily work.

The course can be taught in Swedish or English.
